Carol is a GREAT Interior Designer! I was looking for an Interior Designer with experience, style, and access to the latest bathroom innovations to help me figure out what I would really love in my new master bath. I also wanted to install French Doors in the downstairs dining room to enjoy my backyard easier. Carol took on both projects and the results exceeded all my expectations.
These are some tips we’ve found help our clients navigate through the design and remodel process. We’re hoping they help you too.
One of the main ways we help our clients get the results they are looking for is to place a big emphasis on VALUE.
This does not mean (necessarily) the least expensive but it does mean that we do our best to provide high quality fabrics, fixtures and furnishings. Items that will last and look good for the life of the project and do what they were designed to do.
In our continual quest to understand our clients and create the homes they want , we discovered that the Designer’s Insight tool (which we use often) is not only great for adults but for younger members of the family ,too. Designer’s Insight is a visual tool that allows clients to select objects on a subconscious level. We interpret their choices and arrive at their color and taste preferences very quickly.
Let’s say you’ve decided to do a project and are at the “now what?” place. (This scenario assumes you are working with a professional.) It’s time to set some priorities- which can be in many areas. For example, timing- do you want your project done because a wedding, graduation, holiday, or other big event is coming up? Then a timeline needs to be set so the project will be completed in plenty of time. Even if there is no specific event, setting a deadline is helpful to keep the project on track.
